The tables are set!

Four tables in the breezeway seated 16 people.

Classroom/tearoom . . .

seated 24 more, for a total of 40 tea enthusiasts!

Each table had a theme . . .

Here are the 'snowflake', 'holly and ribbons' and 'Christmas milkglass' tables.

The Little Herb House had four Christmas trees.

The 'rustic gardening' tree is shown here, with garden forks and spades, rusty stars and dried hydrangeas grown at the farm!

More themes and another tree . . .

here is the 'gingham gingerbread' tree, the 'poinsettia' table and the 'vintage lace' table.

Another view of the 'vintage lace' table . . .

included pink depression glass cups/saucers, vintage lace tablecloth, and vintage lace napkin rings.

A close-up of the 'holly and ribbons' table . . .

each table was set with a three-tiered server, two teapots, creamer & sugar, stevia jar, herbal jellies, a jar of clotted Devonshire cream and place cards for each guest!

The Norfolk pine became the 'snow angels' tree . .

and was decorated with lace Christmas angels made from vintage lace, doilies and handkerchiefs, then accented with snowflakes and dried "Silver King' artemesia grown on the farm!

Close-up of the 'Christmas milkglass' table . . .

this set of teacups/saucers and luncheon plates was made in Mexico in the 1950's/60's by Termocrisa and was given the nickname "Mexican FireKing" because of its close resemblance to FireKing pieces.

Time to begin the tea!!

I'm sure I was giving everyone their tea instructions! . . . all the details about how we would serve the tea, what their tea choices would be, and describing the delicious menu!

The three-tier server was overflowing with tea delicacies . . .

top level shows an assortment of chocolate truffles (my favorite was rolled in fresh spearmint leaves!), middle tier containing assorted scones, including gingerbread, whole grain apple and strawberry, and bottom tier - rosemary pork tenderloin tea biscuits - YUM! Catering by The Thyme Savor

My wonderful friend, Betty Bowes, helped to serve the tea . . .

notice the lid is missing from the teapot. It accidently fell and broke - I think the lady to the left is waiting for her to drop the teapot next!!

Here I am again . . .

I think I am calling one of the TEAGO (BINGO) games. Door prizes included scone mixes, Christmas teas, jellies, Susan Wittig Albert's 'China Bayles' books, and pecans!

This is Betty with Lorraine Perri, the photographer for the Christmas Tea!

Thanks go to Lorraine for taking all these great photos of the Tea!! (she is probably also consoling Betty about the dropped teapot lid!).

Lisa at the end of the day . . .

whew! We had a great tea! Thanks also go to Betty and my other two servers: Carolyn Langdon (another wonderful friend) and Kellie Schmidt (daughter of another friend, Carolyn Middleton). I could not have done it without my friends!

"Never shall I forget the days I spent with you. Continue to be my friend, as you will always find me yours."
