“Creating an Aromatic Path to Stress Relief”

 Class

Taught by Jade Shutes, B.A., Diploma AT

Jade is an aromatherapy and reflexology educator, practitioner, researcher and author. Her first textbook “Aromatherapy for Bodyworkers” is due out in September 2007. Jade was an avid gardener in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle) and is now learning how to grow medicinal plants here in North Carolina. She resides in Willow Springs, NC with her son, Soren, and husband Matt.

Just in time for the holiday ba-hum-bug stress!! Stress comes in many different forms, from waiting in traffic and shopping lines to simple demands placed upon us by different situations and individuals (baking cookies, or at whose house are we having Christmas this year?).  Each of us responds to varying degrees of stress differently.  How we react and cope with the day to day stressors as well as chronic stressors depends upon a multitude of factors.  This class will briefly explore the relationship between the stress response and ill health.  We shall explore various methods of creating an “Aromatic Path” to stress relief.  We will also discuss the importance of self commitment and awareness as a necessary component to accomplishing health and well-being through stress reduction.  You will create an aromatic synergy ($12 retail value) just for your personal use.

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

12 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.

13 That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God.
